How heat detection with smaXtec works

smaXtec detects heats based on changes in the behaviour of your cows, e.g. activity and rumination. The system analyses the behaviour over time and suggests an insemination window as soon as the main heat has been detected with certainty. With the help of the insemination window, you know exactly when an insemination is most likely to be successful, when the probability of success decreases, and when insemination is not advisable. Whether in a free-stall barn or on pasture with our optional solar set up, smaXtec reliably supports you in detecting the time of heat with its own algorithms for different types of housing.

Recognise fertility problems and abortions early

Digital, continuous heat monitoring offers a further advantage: you have an overview of the current fertility status of each cow at all times and can immediately see if a cow’s fertility cycle indicates any problems. This allows you to act quickly and improve the fertility of your herd.
