A herd of cows on pasture.

Pasture-based farmingGrazing with full visibility.

Keep an eye on health, feeding, heat and upcoming calvings, even when your cows are out on pasture.

Your herd. Wherever it’s located.

It can be difficult to keep an eye on your herd when they are on pasture. Continuous measurement of internal body temperature, water intake and drinking cycles, rumination, and activity makes health problems, feeding issues, heat stress and insufficient water supply visible, no matter how far you are from your herd. When something changes, you receive a push notification. smaXtec also keeps an eye on heats and upcoming calvings.

Pasture-based farming places special demands on data transmission. smaXtec is designed for this. Our solar-powered Base Stations ensure data transmission in locations without a power connection. Additional Base Stations and antennas can be adapted to the size and layout of your pasture.

The bolus continuously measures inside the cow. If no Base Station is temporarily within range, the boluses will store data for up to six days and transmit it automatically as soon as the animals are within range again.

Pasture-based farming without compromise.

Cows on pasture.

When your herd moves, smaXtec moves with it.

smaXtec is designed to keep measuring and transferring data wherever your herd is located.

Health management on pasture

Data from inside gives you early insights into health changes, helping you identify cows that need attention, even when the herd is out on pasture.

Detect heats

Activity, rumination and artificial intelligence make heat visible even on pasture. This helps you plan inseminations more effectively.

Automatic calving alerts

The calving alert notifies you an average of 15 hours in advance. This gives you time to check the cow and prepare for calving.

Secure your pasture setup

Solar-powered base stations transmit data even without a power connection. Base stations and antennas can be adapted to the size of your pasture.

Prevent data gaps

The bolus stores data for up to six days. As soon as the animals are back within range of the base station, the data is transmitted automatically.
