The smaXtec software provides a clear, continuous overview of your herd directly on your computer or smartphone via the smaXtec Web and App. The data measured inside the cow is processed automatically within the smaXtec Cloud and turned into actionable insights that are displayed in alerts, to-do lists, individual-animal and group overviews and detailed dashboards.

What is TruAdvice®?

TruAdvice® is smaXtec’s artificial intelligence. It analyzes the data measured inside the cow and provides an alert that indicates a specific disease may be developing including mastitis, ketosis or milk fever when unusual patterns arise.

What can I see in the smaXtec animal graphs?

The smaXtec animal graphs display the data measured by the smaXtec bolus in 10-minute intervals. Internal body temperature, water intake and drinking cycles, rumination via rumen motility and activity are all clearly shown on the graphs which makes unexpected changes easy to see. These parameters help you identify developing diseases, while smaXtec uses them to detect heats and calvings.

Can I use smaXtec on my smartphone?

Yes, you can use smaXtec on your smartphone via the iOS or Android smaXtec Apps. The app allows you to access your herd data wherever you are. Access smaXtec on your computer using any web browser, no download needed.

What notifications can I receive from smaXtec?

Notifications are customizable within smaXtec’s system settings. You can choose which events you want to be notified about and how you want to receive them, including via push notifications or emails.

What does the smaXtec Assistant do?

The smaXtec Assistant brings relevant alerts, tasks and animals together in clear, easy-to-use lists. You define the criteria used to assign animals to each list and can add customized instructions for your team. This allows your team to quickly see where action is needed and implement measures consistently, without having to search for the information.

What is the smaXtec Performance Center?

The smaXtec Performance Center provides an overview of important key metrics and developments within your herd. It allows you to evaluate how your herd’s health, performance and profitability changes over time as well as compare your herd metrics to those from anonymous, comparable farms in your region.

Can I share my smaXtec data with other people?

Yes, you can share your smaXtec data with anyone you’d like for free, as long as you have their email. You can specify access and user rights for each new user. For example, you can grant your veterinarian read-only access to your herd data so they can view relevant animal and historical data when evaluating animals.

Can smaXtec be connected to my herd management system?

smaXtec offers integrations with many common herd management systems. This allows data to be transferred automatically and reduces the need for repeated data entry and accessing information in multiple systems.

How are updates carried out on the smaXtec bolus?

We continuously develop new features and improve existing ones. Software updates are implemented automatically. The smaXtec boluses receive over-the-air updates, even after they have been administered to cows.
