A smaXtec farmer from the UK received several alerts within a short period of time. The customer quickly realized that something was wrong. He immediately informed the vet, who was able to detect a heart attack as well as an abort and saved the cow through early treatment.

Despite E.coli mastitis, the oestrus cycle was not interrupted
In the first week after calving, a cow showed an increased temperature at 3 pm and reduced rumination at 3 am. With the help of the smaXtec system, our customer was able to detect an E.coli mastitis early and act quickly. By looking at the curve diagram, it can be seen that the cow returned to normal body temperature just a few days later and had her first oestrus on February 21. Due to the fast treatment, the cow recovered much quicker and her normal cycle was not interrupted!
